Santaella Legal Group is operating during this COVID-19 Shelter in place

Thursday, March 19, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom announced a statewide coronavirus shelter. This order is a shelter in place for the entire state of California that affects all persons and businesses that are considered non-essential.

This shelter in place plays a crucial part in combatting the current dire situation. For this reason, we are not working out of our offices; however, we are working remotely from our homes. We will be focusing on the estate plans and elder law needs of our clients during this crucial time.

The rapid global impact of the coronavirus has been disconcerting. The fact is that many Californians are not prepared for the implications of this global pandemic, especially when it comes to the potential fallout from not having a trust, will, advance healthcare directive or powers of attorney in place.

While we remain optimistic that the actions we are taking as a state will bend the curve and stop the spread of the virus, we know this situation can change rapidly.

We ask all Californians who have a little time on their hands as they are home to take stock of their assets and review their estate plans. There are a few essential things to keep in mind—the future is uncertain; if you are over the age of 18 and own anything, this is the time to get your documents prepared or updated.

There is no better time to make sure you and your loved ones are prepared. If you would like to have a consultation, please schedule by using the link below. Let us discuss how to protect you and your family during this time. Please note all consultations will take place via phone call or Zoom until the shelter order is lifted.

While we deal with this difficult time, we here at Santaella Legal Group - serving the bay areas, San Ramon, Danville, Dublin and the Tri-Valley area - are keeping you, your loved ones, and the world in our thoughts and prayers.
